Job summary

Water Street Dental Clinic in Summerside, Canada is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, and manage X-rays and patient education to ensure smooth procedures and excellent patient care.

Requirements include registration/licensing as a Dental Assistant and preferred prior experience. The role offers a competitive hourly wage and a supportive team using modern technology and processes.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Licensed as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
