Job summary

The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is seeking a Regional Senior Coordinator to enhance primary care access for remote Nations on Vancouver Island, including Hesquiaht and Ahousaht. This full-time onsite role focuses on identifying service gaps and delivering nation-led solutions through partnerships and innovation.

Based in Stzuminuz – Oyster Bay with some travel, the role offers CAD 76,530–105,229 per year, 8am–4pm, and benefits including a pension, vacation, health coverage from day

Qualifications

  • Diploma with demonstrated coursework in First Nations studies.
  • 1–2 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience coordinating, planning and budgeting for health projects.

  • Uplift communities through strong partnerships and Nation-led priorities.

Title: Regional Senior Coordinator

Salary: $76,530 - $95,662 - $105,229 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Term – Full Time- ending September 30,2028

Hours: 8am- 4pm

Location: Stzuminuz- Oyster Bay- onsite- with some travel across Vancouver Island

About The Role

It's an exciting time to join this team to be able to bring primary care closer to home. This role champions improved health access for the most remote Nations, including Hesquiaht and Ahousaht, by identifying service gaps and driving meaningful, sustainable solutions. It plays a key part in uplifting communities on their health and wellness journeys through strong partnerships, innovation, and a deep commitment to Nation led priorities.

Education
  • Diploma with demonstrated coursework in First Nations studies
  • 1 to 2 years of significant, recent, and relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
  • Experience in the regional health authority systems/services/services, and in particular working with First Nations individuals, communities or organizations on issues related to health and wellness
  • Recent, relevant experience, at a coordinator level, in coordination, work planning, budgeting and implementation of activities.
  • Experience in project and/or events planning and management; experience in a health and wellness organization
  • Experience in working with budgets.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
