Position Summary

This position is responsible for all sales management activities for the Shawflex product brands in the Western Canada region, aligned with the company's strategic direction. The primary focus is to grow profitable sales through end-use specification and channel management while collaborating with Engineering, Customer Service, Operations, Marketing, and Accounting departments.

Responsibilities
  • Build sales in the specified geography or market segment by targeting End-Users, EPCs, Contractors, and OEMs to generate demand and create specifications for Shawflex products through customer visits, meetings, and technical presentations.
  • Develop and manage a channel distribution strategy, including distributor training, joint visits, and account management activities.
  • Manage assigned accounts and possibly a network of Sales Agents to support distribution and demand generation.
  • Maintain effective stakeholder relationships through visits, calls, and emails.
  • Develop and execute sales plans and roadmaps.
  • Participate in industry events, committees, and networking to maintain high regional visibility.
  • Maintain key customer profiles and update the team regularly with reports and visit summaries.
  • Assist with customer quotes, considering market factors and pricing guidelines.
Marketing Support
  • Gather and share information on new products, competitors, industry trends, and market size.
  • Maintain detailed records in Shawflex CRM.
  • Attend regional and local trade shows.
Administrative Duties
  • Complete annual self-appraisals and objective setting.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, manage expenses.
  • Foster a safety culture aligned with Shawflex's HSE policies.
  • Uphold ethics and compliance standards.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of sales/marketing experience in Wire and Cable or related electrical/electronics markets.
  • Experience in technical sales, channel management, and distribution.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
