ADM Oilseeds Processing in Windsor, Ontario is seeking an Intermediate Trading Manager to lead merchandising activities for soy and canola products. You will trade soybeans, canola seeds, soymeal, soy hulls, and canola meal, while managing customer accounts, logistics, and related accounting issues.

As part of the team, you will shape trading strategies, build strong relationships, and mentor peers while ensuring cost-efficient transportation and risk management across domestic and international

Qualifications

  • University degree in agriculture or business with at least three years in commodity trading.
  • Regional experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of futures, spreads, forex is advantageous.
  • Experience with vessel freight and export markets is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work in a high‑risk, fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze basic profit and loss and month-end reports.
  • Identify and pursue new business to enhance company assets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with a broad customer base.
  • Understand customer needs to add value for both sides.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Prepare & analyze basic profit & loss and other divisional month end reports

  • Builds & maintains relationships with a wide range of customers, including premium and volume accounts

  • Prepare & present reports to management detailing customer issues and opportunities

  • Handles all accounting related issues in a timely manner to ensure good customer service
  • Attends internal training sessions to learn more advanced merchandising skills and systems
  • Ensures the most cost efficient transportation and logistics
  • Develops a good working knowledge of freight spreads and competitor activities

  • Is willing to work outside normal business hours including weekends with limited travel required throughout the year
Knowledge & Skills
  • University degree in agriculture or business (i.e. economics, finance, accounting), supplemented with a minimum of three years of experience in commodity trading.
  • Regional experience will be considered an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of futures / spreads / forex will be considered an asset.
  • Experience with vessel freight and export markets will be considered an asset.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated capacity to excel within high risk, fast-paced work environment. Proven ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisions. Demonstrated negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the domestic and international trade.
  • Proven ability to succeed within a team based work environment. This role requires strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with end-users, suppliers, and internal customers.
  • Ability to lead and help develop peers.
  • Computer competent, with demonstrated ability in the use of spreadsheet, database, and word processing software.
  • Individual must be committed to corporate ethics policies and safety programs

The pay range for this position is: $73,000-$110,250. This position is eligible for an annual bonus incentive, payout is based on company and individual performance.
