Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a Regional QA/QC Manager based in Saskatoon, SK, with travel to field locations. You will lead quality management for construction, service & FMO and fabrication, ensuring compliance with standards and client specs.

You will develop and maintain QMS, mentor teams, review ITPs and WPS/PQR, coordinate with operations and suppliers, and drive continuous improvement across Saskatchewan.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Red Seal Journeyman with 10+ years of QA/QC experience.
• Certifications such as PMP or CQA are assets.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and related standards.
• Experience with welding and non-destructive testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS for the Saskatchewan region.
• Maintain TSASK, ABSA, and CWB certifications and renewals.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards.
• Provide mentorship and SME in welding and NDE.
• Review Project Quality Plans, ITPs, turnover packages, and quality documents.
• Monitor field activities to ensure procedures and drawings are followed.
• Lead QA/QC teams across project and fabrication activities.
• Interface with regulators and client auditors for compliance and corrective actions.
