Job summary

Gateway-Mechanical-Services is seeking a highly process-driven Quality Control Specialist to drive quality programs across Western Canada. You will own QA/QC processes, document control, audits, and compliance initiatives while collaborating with Field Leaders and cross-functional teams to meet legislative requirements and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct internal QA/QC audits across multiple provinces.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial regulations, ABSA requirements, and applicable building codes (CSA B31.9 & B31.5).
  • Review brazing procedures and coordinate certification testing.
  • Monitor permit applications and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Own and maintain robust document control systems.
  • Review, verify, and file QA/QC reports and documentation with high accuracy.
  • Prepare turnover packages aligned with customer specifications and obtain client approvals.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams on incoming materials to ensure quality.

We’re looking for a highly process-driven, detail-obsessed Quality Control Specialist to join our team and help drive consistency, compliance, and quality across Western Canada.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll work closely with Field Leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure our quality programs meet legislative requirements, ABSA standards, and customer expectations—every time.

You’ll take ownership of quality control processes, documentation systems, audits, and compliance initiatives, while playing a key role in continuous improvement and new product development.

What You’ll Be Doing
Quality & Compliance Leadership
  • Lead and conduct internal QA/QC audits across multiple provinces
  • Ensure compliance with provincial regulations, ABSA requirements, and applicable building codes (CSA B31.9 & B31.5)
  • Review brazing procedures and coordinate certification testing
  • Monitor permit applications and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines
  • Own and maintain robust document control systems
  • Review, verify, and file QA/QC reports and documentation with high accuracy
  • Prepare turnover packages aligned with customer specifications
  • Submit documentation for client approvals and manage feedback cycles
  • Ensure all field documentation is complete, accurate, and finalized
  • Update and maintain the QA/QC Manual annually
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams on incoming materials
  • Ensure all project documentation meets final approval requirements
  • Drive the quality message across the organization
  • Coach and mentor teams on QA/QC standards and best practices
  • Support consistent program execution across Western Canadian operations
  • Promote accountability and continuous improvement at all levels

  • High level of accountability and ownership
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and influence teams across geographically dispersed operations

Experience in Commercial Refrigeration a major asset.
