Job summary

Make Space is seeking a General Manager to oversee operations across British Columbia. You will drive revenue, occupancy, and NOI while ensuring a best-in-class customer experience across a growing self-storage portfolio.

The role requires regular travel between locations, a valid driver’s license, and a collaborative leadership style capable of guiding regional teams toward ambitious growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in multi-site operations (self-storage, retail, real estate, or service-based industry preferred).
• 5+ years of managing teams, preferably in a team-based environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• Drivers license and clean abstract.
• Experience managing full P&L responsibility across multiple locations.
• Tech savvy; daily use of O365, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, and MS Teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily business operations for self-storage activities across British Columbia.
• Champion a customer-first culture across all locations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs to ensure operational consistency.
• Drive occupancy, revenue, and NOI performance across the portfolio.
• Full P&L accountability for all locations in the region.
• Create and monitor KPIs including occupancy, delinquency, and move-in/move-out trends.
• Lead recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Collaborate with marketing, real estate, and development teams to support growth.
