Job summary

Morguard is hiring a Regional Maintenance Associate to service a portfolio of buildings and apartment units across multiple Toronto locations. You will handle preventative and repair maintenance, respond to emergencies after hours, and support various trades including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.

The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to work at several sites within Toronto.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of maintenance or related experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work on-call on evenings and weekends.
• Proficient with basic handheld and electrical tools.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and specialized maintenance and repairs to site properties and surrounding properties under the direction of the Regional Maintenance Manager.
• Complete assigned service requests for in-suite and common area issues in a timely manner.
• Complete in-suite turnover activities, including repair or replacement of appliances and fixtures, basic carpentry, etc.
• Perform appliance repairs, routine plumbing repairs, basic electrical repairs, and safe tool usage.
• Inspect grounds, facilities and equipment to determine maintenance needs.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and supply storage areas.
• Comply with Health and Safety standards; WHMIS, AODA, PIPEDA and Human Rights requirements.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when on call.
• May work with contractors and monitor progress.
