Job summary

Brookfield Energy is seeking an experienced Health & Safety leader to act as the HSS&E subject matter expert for the regional Asset Management team in Toronto. You will drive program implementation across portfolio companies, oversee due diligence during acquisitions, and coordinate HSS&E reporting with Brookfield Corporate.

The role requires a strong background in complex safety investigations, stakeholder influence, and global travel.

Qualifications

Minimum degree in Health & Safety or related discipline.
10+ years of Health & Safety experience in fast-paced environments; renewables preferred.
Strong knowledge of standards, laws and practices relevant to HSS&E.

Responsibilities

Lead HSS&E SME for regional Asset Management; coordinate with Corporate HSS&E and portfolio companies.
Support portfolio companies in implementing HSS&E programs to Brookfield standards.
Lead HSS&E due diligence in acquisitions/investments within the region.
Coordinate HSS&E gap analyses for newly acquired businesses.
Assist in planning Asset Condition Assessments and safety audits.
Provide training and coaching on HSS&E standards for asset teams.
Collect and report HSS&E metrics for Corporate reporting.
Develop HSS&E guidance and training materials for new asset classes.
