Job summary

Region of Waterloo is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to support service contracts, oversee housing-unit renovations, and coordinate building renewal projects across region-owned properties and social housing units.

You will monitor compliance with contracts, liaise with contractors and tenants, and provide project management support from planning through completion. A 3-year college diploma in related fields or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a 3-year college diploma in an architectural/construction-related program with 3+ years of related field experience or a 2-year diploma with 5+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of building maintenance, contracts, and project management.
• Ability to follow purchasing, financial procedures and tenancy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support contract administration for facilities maintenance (janitorial, snow plowing, life/safety electrical).
• Monitor compliance with service agreements and tenancy legislation.
• Support housing unit renovations and move in/out processes with tracking and scheduling.
• Coordinate building renewal/renovation projects for multi-housing sites.
• Prepare plans, obtain quotes, and manage contractor involvement and safety plans.
