Job summary

The First Nations Health Authority in Canada seeks a Regional Executive Advisor to lead regional policy and program priorities from its Prince George area. You will guide strategic initiatives, advise the VP Regional Operations, and oversee staff and project teams in a dynamic health environment.

You will cultivate strong relationships with First Nations communities, health service partners, and government stakeholders to advance health outcomes across the northern region.

Qualifications

  • University degree plus 6–8 years of progressive senior policy/management experience.
  • Significant policy and strategy development and analysis experience.
  • Experience working with First Nations communities or organizations.

$102,397 - $120,467 - $138,538 per year (pay range explained below per year (pay range explained below)

37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location

FNHA's Northern Region of B.C. Onsight position in Prince George. A flexible work model (Hybrid/Remote) may be an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy.

About The Role

The Executive Advisor provides strategic leadership and expert guidance to advance key partnerships, policy initiatives, and priority projects across the region. In this role, you will support the Vice President of Regional Operations and the departmental leadership team, while overseeing staff, contractors, and project teams.

The ideal candidate excels at building strong, collaborative relationships with First Nations communities and organizations, health service partners, and federal and provincial stakeholders. Your work will help strengthen partnerships and move forward initiatives that improve health and wellness outcomes for First Nations across the region.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have/be –

Education & Experience
  • A University Degree in Public Health, Political or Social Science, Health or Public Administration, Leadership or other related fields of study, plus 6 to 8 years of related advanced experience in senior policy, strategist, or management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Significant policy and strategy development and analysis experience.
  • Experience in working with First Nations.

  • Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31% (may be subject to a waiting period).

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
