Job description

Regional Director – Greater Toronto Area

Previous operational leadership experience within the dental industry is required for this position.

Passion Dental Group is looking for an experienced Regional Director to lead and support our dental clinics across the Greater Toronto Area. We're seeking a hands-on leader with strong dental operations experience and a proven ability to build teams, develop leaders and improve clinic performance.

You understand that successful clinics need both effective operations and engaged people. You know how to identify what's working, address what isn't and bring teams together around clear priorities. Whether you're coaching a Clinic Manager, partnering with a Doctor or working through an operational challenge, you bring a practical, collaborative approach that builds trust and delivers results.

The Opportunity

As Regional Director, you'll oversee the operational performance of a portfolio of clinics, working closely with Clinic Managers, Doctors and Support Office partners to strengthen teams, improve day-to-day operations and support sustainable growth.

Your role is to help each clinic succeed - not simply by monitoring results, but by understanding the people, processes and opportunities behind them. You'll provide clear direction, establish accountability and ensure clinic leaders have the support and tools they need to lead effectively.

This is a hands-on, clinic-facing role. Regular in-person visits and travel between clinics throughout the Greater Toronto Area is required.

What Great Looks Like

You're an operational leader who knows how to build strong teams. You're comfortable reviewing financial performance and equally comfortable spending time in a clinic to understand workflow challenges, support a manager or help a team work better together.

In this role, you will:

  • Strengthen clinic operations: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, scheduling, staffing and resource utilization. Help teams implement practical solutions that support efficient operations and an exceptional patient experience.
  • Build strong, engaged teams: Partner with Clinic Managers and People & Culture to recruit, onboard, develop and retain great people. Foster collaboration, address team challenges and create an environment where expectations are clear and people feel supported.
  • Develop accountable leaders: Coach Clinic Managers to take ownership of their clinics, lead their teams confidently and follow through on priorities. Provide meaningful feedback, support performance management and develop future leaders.
  • Drive business performance: Review KPIs, financial results and operational reporting to identify trends and opportunities. Translate insights into action across production, collections, treatment acceptance, hygiene optimization, patient retention and profitability.
  • Deliver on plans and priorities: Support clinics in achieving budgets, annual plans and growth objectives. Establish clear action plans, monitor progress and help leaders overcome barriers.
  • Build trusted partnerships: Work closely with Doctors and clinical teams to understand clinic needs, support patient care and align operational priorities. Connect clinic teams with the right Support Office resources.
  • Lead change effectively: Guide teams through new programs, processes and operational improvements, ensuring they understand the purpose, expectations and support available.

You know that lasting results come from more than solving the immediate problem. They come from building capable leaders, effective processes and teams that work well together.

What You Bring
  • Required: Previous operational leadership experience within the dental industry, including direct responsibility for dental clinic operations, team leadership and business performance.
  • Strong knowledge of dental clinic workflows and performance drivers, including scheduling, production, collections, treatment acceptance, hygiene optimization and patient retention.
  • A demonstrated ability to build, develop and retain strong teams, with experience coaching managers and addressing team or performance challenges.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with experience using KPIs, budgets and operational reporting to guide decisions and improve results.
  • A practical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify root causes, prioritize competing needs and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence partnering with Doctors, Clinic Managers and Support Office teams.
  • The ability to balance regional priorities with hands‑on support tailored to the needs of individual clinics.
  • Availability and flexibility to travel regularly between clinics throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

Five or more years of progressive dental leadership experience and experience overseeing multiple clinics or locations are preferred.

Most importantly, you care about both the people and the performance of your clinics. You set high expectations, provide meaningful support and understand that your success is reflected in the strength of the leaders and teams around you.
