Job summary

Armour Transportation Group in Charlottetown, PE is seeking a dependable Class 1 Truck Driver for day-shift regional pickups and deliveries. You will operate independently, follow safety standards, and provide excellent customer service during every interaction.

Responsibilities include completing scheduled routes, loading/unloading freight, documenting paperwork, and coordinating with dispatch. A valid Class 1 license and clean driving record are required; 2+ years of tractor-trailer experience

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 license with no restrictions and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Proven ability to operate manual transmission trucks with recent experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years driving a tractor-trailer.
• Strong knowledge of local and regional routes.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience with freight handling and scanning equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled pick-ups and deliveries across multiple regional stops.
• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Load and unload freight with care and accuracy.
• Complete documentation and scanning using handheld devices.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of your assigned vehicle.
