The Role :

We are looking for a Regional Area Manager to join our team in Southern Ontario. The successful candidate will have strong foundations in both Territory Management and Sales Analytics.

This role will be responsible for supporting our Canco Gas Bars and Stores in their day to day operations and will spend approximately 60% of their time travelling to Canco sites throughout their territory. They will be responsible for analyzing market trends and research and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of Canco outlets. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels.

Responsibilities : Territory Management

  • Visiting Canco Gas Bars and Stores across Canada to review operations and core functions
  • Track record of proven success in mentoring and managing teams across multiple locations and industries
  • Ensuring compliance with Canco Customer Service standards, both customer and internally facing
  • Auditing Inventory Management- ensure stock levels are appropriate and adhere to brand standards
  • Team training and management review store-level headcount, make sound recommendations and train / mentor as needed
  • Compliance and Records Management work with Store Managers to maintain compliance records, payroll accuracy and operational efficiencies
  • Conduct spot-checks for Pricing, Tax Application, Liquor and Tobacco compliance
  • Creating a consistent, overall Store Experience across all Canco sites

Sales and Analysis

  • Analyze sales data of the respective stores ahead of the store visit
  • Prepare weekly reports to report Operational Performance of Canco sites and present to Senior Leadership
  • Prepare Store Reviews for the Site Manager and create Operational Development Plans for quarterly and yearly reviews
  • Detect if internal controls are strong and if sales and purchase are in line with expectations
  • Measure any deviations from the Store Operations Standards for merchandising, compliance, headcount and profitability
  • Analyze customer and market research data and reports of assigned stores to establish benchmarks.

What You Bring :

Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in District Management, Business Administration,

Finance or related field

Experience in gas, convenience or fast-moving consumer goods

3+ years of proven experience in a Territory Management role

Strong budget development and oversight skills

Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service

Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes

Strong analytical and problem skills

Strong work ethic and attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Candidates for this position should note that while it is classified as remote, it entails 90 100% fieldwork responsibilities, rather than exclusively remote office work.
