Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking an experienced Service Refrigeration Technician to join our Regina, SK team. You will work on RTUs, HVAC systems, and refrigeration equipment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and routine service to ensure system reliability.

The ideal candidate has HVAC/Refrigeration experience, a valid HVAC certification, and the ability to read blueprints and comply with safety standards. This is a hands-on, customer-focused role with outdoors work in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a HVAC/Refrigeration technician.
• HVAC certification.
• Brazing and soldering skills.
• Knowledge of local building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
• Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customers’ refrigeration systems.
• Work on RTUs and HVAC systems
• Inspect system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, fans, and expansion valves.
• Perform system checks, system troubleshooting, and refrigerant recovery.
• Perform electrical and gas system troubleshooting.
• Maintain records including daily service logs, refrigerant recovery reports, and service records.
• Research and resolve complex system problems.
• Complete assigned paperwork and forms
• Conduct safety inspections, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and verify that safety regulations are followed.

Black & McDonald is currently seeking an experienced Service Refrigeration Technician to join our Service Division in Regina, SK! If you are a hands-on, customer service-oriented, and technically inclined professional searching for the opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you. The Refrigeration Technician position is located in Regina, SK and will report directly to the Service Supervisor.

We’re looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of refrigeration/HVAC systems and be able to troubleshoot and repair issues as they arise. We are primarily an HVAC company but do work on chillers and smaller refrigeration systems

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Braising and soldering skills.
• Knowledge of local building codes.

• Clean Class 5 SK Driver’s License and abstract
