MACS - Mendieta Air Conditioning Services in the Lower Mainland is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our small, family-owned team. This full-time role serves primarily residential clients across the Lower Mainland, with occasional light commercial work.

We value hands-on experience; a Gas Fitter B ticket or Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal) is preferred but non-certified candidates with solid field work are welcome.

Qualifications

• Certification: Gas Fitter B Ticket or Red Seal Refrigeration Mechanic preferred; non-certified candidates with equivalent experience are welcome to apply.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC installation, service, and repair.
• Driver's License: Valid Class 5 with clean abstract (company van provided).
• Skills: Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.
• Work ethic: Reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to work overtime/on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems – Furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize efficiency and system lifespan.
• Customer service and documentation – Record work performed, parts used, and system conditions; explain issues and solutions clearly to clients.
• On-call emergency service – Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies, with premium pay.
