Qualifications

Job description

Primary Responsibility :

Reputed company from North America is seeking a full-time Refrigeration Shift Operator – Class B (Ontario Certificate of Qualification) in good standing with TSSA for its Brampton Ammonia facility.

What You’ll Do :

1. Operate automated or computerized control systems.
2. Conduct daily inspections of the ammonia refrigeration plant to ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently.
3. Measure temperature, fuel flow, and pressure.
4. Record, analyze, and enter equipment readings into the SAP system.
5. Troubleshoot and perform corrective actions or minor repairs as needed.
6. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and batteries.
7. Clean and lubricate machinery and components.
8. Maintain a daily log of operations, maintenance, and safety activities.
9. Report to the Chief Engineer regarding daily activities.
10. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required.
11. Maintain good housekeeping in the Engine Room.

What Experience and Education You Need :

1. Grade 12 Diploma; post-secondary education preferred.
2. Refrigeration License Class B (Ontario Certificate of Qualification in good standing with TSSA).
3. 5-7 years of experience in an Ammonia Refrigeration Plant with A class rating.
4. Knowledge of Food Safety standards (GMP, HACCP, AIB, SQF) and Ontario regulatory bodies.
