Job summary

J.L. Refrigeration Inc. in Scarborough, ON is seeking a junior candidate to start an apprenticeship in Refrigeration & HVAC.

This position provides hands-on experience in our warehouse operations and supports our field teams. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, in Scarborough. You will learn parts handling, shipping/receiving, and basic mechanical tasks as you prepare for a UA Local 787 apprenticeship and field work.

Qualifications

• Valid G Class Driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb a ladder, and work with hands.
• Flexible to work evenings if required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up parts from customer sites and suppliers.
• Support field mechanics with their jobs and truck stock.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Shipping and receiving.
• Inventory control and shop work.

This position is ideal for any junior candidate interested in starting an apprenticeship doing Refrigeration & HVAC. This candidate will gain experience into the company's operation, procedures and commonly used parts, to support their transition into a UA Local 787 apprenticeship and onto the field. The warehouse is located in Scarborough and the hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
