Job summary

Neelands Group Limited is seeking a Refrigeration Construction Foreman to join our Burlington, Ontario team. This is a regular, full-time union position with a full union compensation package.

The Foreman will report to the Construction Manager and provide field staff with technical support to ensure a smooth turnover from construction to service. Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years refrigeration installation experience with 2 years as foreman.
• Licensed 313A mechanic with valid G license and clean driving record.
• Experience with supermarket refrigeration and CO2 systems is an asset.
• Ability to travel as required and work under safety standards/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of refrigeration technicians and apprentices with training and guidance.
• Ensure safety standards and Ontario regulations on sites.
• Interpret blueprints and lay out installation plans accurately.
• Assemble and install refrigeration systems and piping.
• Coordinate materials and communicate project status with managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Position:

Neelands Group Limited is searching for aRefrigeration Construction Foreman to join our team at the Burlington, Ontario location. This is a regular, full-time union position with a full union compensation package. The Refrigeration Construction Foreman will report to the Construction Manager and will provide field staff with technical support helping to ensure a smooth turnover from the construction phase to service.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of refrigeration technicians and apprentices, ensuring proper training, guidance, and support.
• Uphold safety standards on job sites, ensuring adherence to company safety policies and Ontario regulations
• Carefully read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper specifications are being followed
• Accurately measure and layout plan for installation
• Assemble and install refrigeration systems, cold storage units, refrigeration piping and related components
• Ensure the necessary materials required for the project are on hand and readily available
• Maintain regular communication with project managers, providing updates on the status of the project
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Licensed 313A mechanic
• Minimum 7 years of refrigeration installation experience with 2 years as a foreman
• Experience with supermarket refrigeration is considered an asset
• CO2 system installation experience is considered an asset
• Experience with control systems
• Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of TSSA regulations and procedures
• Valid G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Ability to travel when required
