Job summary

Imperial Oil is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Engineer for our refinery in Nanticoke, Ontario. You will provide mechanical engineering support for maintenance of static equipment and piping, ensuring reliability and compliance with latest codes and internal standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, leadership ability, and a strong analytical mindset. A valid driver’s license and a proactive approach to safety are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Unofficial transcripts must be submitted with application.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain technical documentation (repair standards, specifications and drawings) for refinery static equipment and piping.
  • Manage deviations through the Management of Change process.
  • Manage site Bad Actor Lists and progression of eliminations.
  • Optimize PSV/TSV testing intervals and review valve inspection reports.
  • Lead fixed equipment related RCFA investigations.
  • Stay current with ExxonMobil mechanical engineering networks and standards.
  • Support capital project designs to maintain/improve refinery equipment reliability.
  • Support turnaround activities including drawing review and field inspections.
  • Develop preventative maintenance plans for static equipment.
