Job summary

Parkland in Burnaby is seeking an Instrumentation Technician for the Refinery Maintenance Department. You will maintain instrumentation and automation systems, install and commission new instrumentation, and support safe, reliable operations across the refinery.

Qualifications include an Instrumentation Technology Diploma with IP/Red Seal, BC Driver’s License, and experience with DCS/PLC, plus strong teamwork and communication skills. Competitive pay per Unifor terms, on-site role.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of instrumentation and process control systems.
  • Experience with maintenance/calibration of analyzers and CEMS.
  • Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation in a refinery environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and calibration of process analyzers.
  • Maintenance and calibration of continuous emission monitors (CEMS) in accordance with PG7.
  • Maintenance and repair of flow, temperature, pressure and level measurement devices.
  • Maintenance and repair of process control valves and valve positioners.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of DCS and PLC systems.
  • Installation, testing and commissioning of new instrumentation.
