Job summary

PTW Energy Services seeks a Journeyman Instrumentation Technician for a Fly In / Fly Out rotation at the Alta Gas site in Prince Rupert, BC. You will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and commission instrumentation and control systems with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications include Journeyman certificate or Red Seal preferred, experience with PLC/DCS/HMI, and ability to read P&IDs and electrical drawings. OT and travel are part of the role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Instrumentation Technician certificate or equivalent.
• Red Seal Instrumentation Technician certification preferred.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation, electrical principles, and reading drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, test, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and control systems.
• Perform instrument checks, loop checks, signal verification, and functional testing.
• Support PLC, DCS, and HMI commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control drawings.
• Maintain calibration records and commissioning documentation.
