Job summary

Armour Transportation Systems in Moncton, NB is seeking a Reefer Technician to diagnose and repair trailer refrigeration units, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe operation of equipment. The role requires 3–5 years of experience and the ability to work independently in a busy shop.

Mon-Fri, 8am–5pm with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and allowances for safety boots and tools. Carrier Reefers experience is a plus and opportunities for apprenticeship and career advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in transport and refrigeration.
• Background working on Carrier Reefers an asset.
• Ability to work independently in a busy shop environment.
• Able to troubleshoot, diagnose trailer refrigeration units.
• Performs preventative and scheduled maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to manufacturers’ specs.
• Write explanations of work performed.
• Charge out all parts used for the specific task.
• Knowledge of Heavy Truck Garage safety principles and behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose trailer refrigeration units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment.
• Repair equipment to manufacturers’ specifications and safety standards.
• Document work performed and parts used.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide clear explanations.
