Job summary

Armour Transportation Systems in Moncton, NB is seeking 3rd and 4th year apprentice mechanics to join the team. Enjoy a $1,000 sign-on bonus, competitive hourly wages with premiums and safety bonuses, and year-round work in a supportive shop environment.

You will perform maintenance, participate in safety meetings, diagnose issues, complete electronic orders, and stay current with training opportunities while advancing within the company.

Qualifications

• Apprentice certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic (3rd or 4th year) or 2 years experience.
• Experience as a B620 inspector is an asset but not required.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.

• Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
• Engage in professional and service-oriented interactions with colleagues.
• Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
• Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and annual motor vehicle inspections.
• Stay up to date with work-related training and development opportunities.

Apprentice Mechanics

What You Bring to the Table:

• Apprentice certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic 3rd or 4th year or 2 years experience.
• Experience as a B620 inspector (an asset but not required).
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• High level of professionalism and teamwork.
• Additional experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers, or welding is an asset.
