Job summary

ColdFront is seeking a Transport Refrigeration (Reefer) Technician for our Saskatoon, SK shop. The role includes on-call mobile work to service and repair cooling systems on trailers for remote customers.

You will troubleshoot and repair reefer and A/C units, conduct preventative maintenance, and work with Carrier/Transicold reefers. Journeyman preferred with post-secondary trade education and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman preferred.
• Education/Training from a recognized post-secondary trade institution.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Excellent communication skills: listening, written and oral.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair trailer reefer units.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair components on refrigeration units.
• Perform quality preventative maintenance.
• Ensure work is completed to standard.
• Other shop-related duties as assigned.
