Job summary

AV Group NB Inc. Atholville Mill is recruiting for Red Seal Pipefitter (1st Class). The Pipefitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of low/rich pressure piping systems and their components.

Key duties include installing, inspecting and repairing piping systems for steam, water and process fluids; maintaining pumps, valves and heat exchangers; performing preventive maintenance and supporting safe mill operations.

Qualifications

• Grade twelve high school diploma is required.
• Experience is an asset.
• Preference for candidates with multiple trades.
• Must be willing to work overtime and be on call.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial piping systems for steam, condensate, water, compressed air, chemicals and process fluids.
• Install, inspect and repair pumps, valves, heat exchangers, steam traps and related mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Monitor and adjust system operating conditions such as pressure, temperature and flow.
• Participate in maintenance shutdowns and equipment installations.
• Support safe and reliable mill operations in collaboration with other trades.

The Pipefitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of low/rich pressure piping systems and their components.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial piping systems for steam, condensate, water, compressed air, chemicals, and process fluids.
• Install, inspect, and repair pumps, valves, heat exchangers, steam traps, pressure-reducing stations, and associated mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on piping systems and mechanical equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Monitor and adjust system operating conditions, including pressure, temperature, flow, and fluid levels.
• Participate in maintenance shutdowns, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations and other maintenance trades to support safe and reliable mill operations.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Graduate of grade twelve high school course along with maintaining a 1 st class Pipefitter license.
• Experience considered an asset.
• Preference will be given to those with multiple trades.
• Must be willing to work overtime and take calls.
