Job summary

Canfor is seeking a Certified Millwright for our Prince George sawmill. You will maintain mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, rollers, bearings, and pneumatic systems while performing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance to keep the line running safely and efficiently.

The role follows a rotating two-week day/afternoon/night schedule with minimum 40 hours per week. Red Seal certification is required; you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with urgency in

Qualifications

• Hold a Red Seal Certification.
• Have the physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrate urgency and reliability.
• Experience with welding and industrial maintenance is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, rollers and chains, bearings, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance and inspect equipment for irregularities.
• Assess when to assemble, move, replace, or dismantle machinery, under pressure.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement safe, reliable fixes to keep the mill running.
• Identify and request parts for timely repairs.
• Support creating a safe work environment for coworkers and visitors.
