Job summary

The Okanagan Gondola in Kelowna, BC is seeking a Red Seal Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) to join the maintenance team and ensure safe, reliable operation of a world-class gondola system. This full-time role requires hands-on mechanical expertise and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include predictive and preventive upkeep, repairs of motors and gearboxes, CMMS record keeping, and participation in seasonal start-up tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with hydraulic and mechanical power transmission systems.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, hydraulic systems, conveyors, and other rotating equipment.
• Support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of the gondola system and associated infrastructure.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Complete inspections and maintenance activities in accordance with manufacturer requirements, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and work orders through the maintenance management system.
• Participate in seasonal start-up and shutdown procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with new equipment installations and facility expansion projects as required.

The Okanagan Gondola is seeking a skilled and motivated Red Seal Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) to join our maintenance team. Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Fall protection, elevated work platform, or confined space training.
