Job summary

Okanagan Gondola in Vernon, BC is seeking a qualified Gondola Lift Maintenance Electrical Technician to join our Operations team. The role focuses on electrical, control, and safety systems across gondola terminals, towers, and facilities. Start date anticipated around November 1st.

The successful candidate will work with the Lift Maintenance team, manufacturers, and contractors to ensure reliability, regulatory compliance, and guest safety in a high-use tourism environment.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on gondola electrical systems.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and networks.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Maintain maintenance records and regulatory documentation.
• Support startup/shutdown procedures and emergency response as needed.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
