Job summary

Mosaic Company in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan is hiring a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic to inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment on-site. The role involves dismantling, rebuilding, and assembling plant equipment to manufacturer standards and operating cranes and other mobile equipment.

The successful candidate will have a valid Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic Certificate, strong tool knowledge, welding experience, and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic Certificate.
• Strong knowledge of power and hand tools.
• Experience with cutting and welding practices.
• Ability to assess equipment condition and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including criminal, drug, and alcohol testing.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Dismantle, rebuild, and assemble plant equipment to manufacturer standards.
• Operate mobile equipment, including overhead and mobile cranes.
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and parts manuals.
• Use precision maintenance tools and operate serviced equipment.
• Work safely at heights using ladders, scaffolds, platforms, and personnel lifts.
• Complete required training and support site safety initiatives, including fire crew duties if required.
• Follow all environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Starting Wage: $60.82/hour (per local CBA)
