  3. Provide essential recycling services and knowledge to the community;
  4. Assist the Site Supervisor in ensuring the facility meets all requirements from Metro Vancouver, regulatory bodies, and company expectations;
  5. Ensure outbound solid waste and recyclable materials meet disposal and recycling specifications;
  6. Monitor and manage onsite inventories of all materials to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements;
  7. Communicate effectively with customers, including traffic control at the site;
  8. Help train new personnel on operations, material specifications, and safety procedures;
  9. Recommend improvements to efficiency, service levels, and safety;
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
What will you bring?
  • A passion for the green economy and providing essential community services;
  • Ability to work mainly outdoors at depots or around the transfer station;
  • A safety-first approach to all tasks;
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a customer service-oriented role;
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn;
  • Good interpersonal skills, both verbal and written;
  • Experience operating small mobile equipment like forklifts is an asset but not necessary;
  • A friendly personality with a 'roll-up your sleeves and get it done' attitude;
  • A good sense of humor is an asset and considered necessary.
