What will you do?

  • Develop, implement, and maintain recruitment and selection programs primarily for unionized positions.
  • Support and advise hiring managers in the recruitment and selection process to ensure policies, procedures, and collective agreements are followed.
  • Develop and maintain job posting documents and recruiting tools (e.g., screening, interview, assessment, reference checks).
  • Track the status of job postings and follow up with hiring managers as needed.
  • Review and screen candidate resumes, schedule and conduct interviews, check references, and communicate with candidates throughout the process.
  • Determine and administer appropriate employment testing.
  • Make salary recommendations and complete necessary documentation.
  • Communicate decisions to candidates, including offers and notifications of unsuccessful applicants.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and prepare related reports and metrics.
  • Attend career fairs and employment events.
  • Possess previous experience in recruitment within a unionized environment.
  • Have knowledge of current recruitment best practices and relevant HR legislation.
  • Demonstrate positive professionalism, confidence, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Manage multiple deadlines with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry skills.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, managing relationships both in person and virtually.

What would give you the edge?

  • Possession or progression towards CHRP/CHRL designation.
  • Knowledge of Patient Service functions and roles.
  • Experience in healthcare or the public sector.
  • Fluency in French or another language.

French Proficiency: French an asset
