Job summary

Cairn Housing Association is recruiting a Recruitment & People Coordinator to deliver high-quality HR support and advisory services aligned with Cairn’s vision and values. The role covers coordinating generalist HR activity, payroll collaboration with Finance, and maintaining accurate HR data and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating generalist HR activities.
  • Ability to provide first-line HR advisory and customer service.
  • Experience with HR/OD data management and reporting.
  • Understanding of employment law and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective coordination on a wide range of generalist HR activities to support the HR function.
  • Deliver excellent customer service as the first point of contact in HR and offer first line advice to employees and external customers on policies and procedures to ensure a consistent and compliant service.
  • Create content for updates to inform the wider business on HR matters and changes, then deliver through channels such as the intranet to ensure effective communication.
  • Responsible for data management on all HR/OD systems with attention to detail to enable accurate reporting and monitoring, in line with legislation.
  • Produce and analyse reports to support recruitment initiatives and to promote a diverse workforce.
  • Manage annual leave processes across the Association, including holiday carryover and public holidays to ensure accurate leave entitlements and data storage.
  • Identify and implement continuous development of HR process improvements to enhance the HR service and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do:
  • Provide effective coordination on a wide range of generalist HR activities, to support the HR function.
  • Deliver excellent customer service as the first point of contact in HR and offer first line advice to employees and external customers on all relevant policies and procedures to ensure a consistent and compliant service.

  • Provide accurate information on time including dates for employees who have been absent from work, on maternity leave or any other pay impacting processes.
