Job description

Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with an organization within the Broader Public Sector to support the recruitment of a Talent Acquisition Specialist. This is an exciting 12-month contract opportunity, working 3x / week in the office in Surrey, BC. We can also consider candidates located in Kelowna, BC.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria
  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment for internal and external hiring requirements
  • Build applicant pool, develop sourcing strategies, shortlist candidates, negotiate offers
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
  • Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
  • Compile lists of most-suitable candidates by assessing their CVs, portfolios, and references
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
  • Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders

Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience in a talent acquisition, generalist or similar role
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • Unionized experience is required
  • Experience supporting organizations within the Broader Public Sector is required
  • Experience with SuccessFactors considered an asset
