Job summary

S.i. Systems in Ottawa is seeking a Recruiter to build a strong talent pipeline, interview candidates, and manage the recruitment lifecycle. You will work with Account Executives to align candidate profiles with client needs and present qualified candidates for submission.

You will also support onboarding, timesheet checks, and consultant renewals, contributing to a collaborative, performance-driven team. Hybrid onsite work in Ottawa is provided.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma or 1 year recruiting or customer-facing experience, or 2 years leadership activity.
• High School Diploma with 2 years recruiting or customer-facing experience accepted.
• Federal recruitment experience is a strong asset.
• Fast-paced, metrics-driven environment experience preferred.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source, interview, and qualify candidates using MatchGuide and referrals.
• Develop a proactive pipeline aligned with client needs.
• Maintain candidate records and interview summaries in MatchGuide.
• Conduct in-person or video interviews and reference checks.
• Work with Account Executives to understand requirements and prioritize efforts.
• Present shortlisted candidates and coach candidates for submission.
• Support onboarding, timesheet management, and consultant check-ins.
• Assist with contract renewals and address consultant concerns.

What You’ll Do

Build a Strong Talent Pipeline

• Source, interview, and qualify candidates for in-demand roles using our proprietary database (MatchGuide) and referrals.
• Develop a proactive pipeline of skilled candidates aligned with client needs.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and interview summaries in MatchGuide.
• Conduct in-person or video interviews and complete thorough reference checks.

Manage the Recruitment Process

• Work closely with Account Executives to understand job requirements and prioritize recruitment efforts.
• Present a shortlist of qualified candidates ensuring alignment with client specifications.
• Prepare resumes for submission, schedule interviews, and provide coaching to candidates.

Support & Engage Consultants

• Build strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive experience throughout their assignment.
• Assist with onboarding, timesheet management, and consultant check-ins.
• Facilitate contract renewals and address consultant concerns in collaboration with Account Executives.

Ensure Compliance & Drive Performance

• Follow company policies, procedures, and best practices in all recruitment activities.
• Track and report recruitment activities, ensuring data integrity within MatchGuide.
• Meet and exceed key performance metrics aligned with company goals.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma with minimum of 1-year external recruiting or customer facing service experience OR 2 years of high-level competitive sport/activity and/or leadership experience; OR other equivalent experience considered
• OR High School Diploma or equivalent plus 2 years recruiting or customer facing experience
• Experience with Federal Recruitment is a strong asset
• Proven experience in a fast paced, metrics driven, working environment preferred
• Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships
• Able to learn new complex ideas in a short time frame
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, prioritizing key activities
• Has determination, grit and a proven ability to go the extra mile
• Is confidential, professional, honest and works well both in teams and individually
• Team oriented and collaborative
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Ability to connect with others through phone, video, social media and in-person meetings
