Job summary

The Town of Slave Lake is seeking an energetic Multi-Rec Centre Parks Operator to provide and maintain high-quality recreation facilities and parks. The role may require working days, afternoons, evenings and/or weekends.

Essential duties include customer service, facility operation, maintenance of parks, and adherence to safety policies. Successful candidates will be able to perform physically demanding tasks and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain before start date.
• Willingness to be trained to operate ice resurfacing equipment and small equipment safely and efficiently.
• Valid Alberta Class Five Driver's License.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
• Experience in a recreation facility or arena is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service using strong public relations skills.
• Foster positive relations with staff, management, and the public.
• Operate ice surface and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain MRC and parks to industry/legislation standards.
• Operate equipment per manuals and safety policies.
• Perform janitorial duties as required.
• Maintain tools and equipment per owner manuals.
• Perform related duties as required.
