Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking energetic recreation leaders to work mainly with preschoolers, children and youth across multiple locations in Ontario. You will plan and lead arts and crafts, fitness, performing arts, sports and outdoor activities, creating engaging programs while maintaining safety and inclusivity.

• HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children (successful completion by end of probation)

The Role

Our recreation leaders work in multiple fun positions in various locations and program formats ranging from weekly classes to day camps. In each program, you will have the opportunity to lead activities that help our community members learn new skills and make social connections.

You will be working mainly with preschoolers, children and youth in this position.

You will be leading arts and crafts, fitness and wellness, performing arts, sports and outdoor adventure activities.

Qualifications Needed

Education, Certifications and Licenses

An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will be considered

Current CPR And Basic First Aid Qualifications

A valid driver’s license (Ontario), an asset

HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport (successful completion by end of probation)

HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children (successful completion by end of probation)

Experience

• Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50lbs/23 kg).
