Schlegel Villages in Ontario invites applications for a part-time Recreation Aide at the Millers Creek village. You will join a caring team that plans and delivers engaging activities, fosters resident-centered social culture, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in/completed diploma or degree recreation/leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university

To be successful as our new Recreation Team Member, you will:

• Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individual’s health
• Knowledge of recreational therapy practices, methods, techniques and opportunities to improve resident’s well-being and holistic health
• An understanding of the relevant sections of the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007
