Job summary

Service Inspired Restaurants in Oakville is seeking a friendly Receptionist to greet visitors, handle calls, and support office operations in a fast-paced hospitality group. You will work on-site from 9-5, collaborate with restaurant leaders, maintain switchboard and email routing, and help with calendar management and basic admin tasks while upholding our five values.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a receptionist role or extensive customer service experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors to the office and respond to all incoming calls.
• Work in office/on-site 9-5 Monday to Friday.
• Respond to guest feedback and liaise with restaurant management to address issues; Zendesk/Uberall knowledge is an asset.
• Maintain switchboard functions and route faxes; process courier and mail services.
• Provide administrative support to various departments and assist department heads with general duties.
• Open/ respond to general emails and maintain boardrooms and meeting rooms.
• Coordinate catering for internal meetings and perform other duties as required.

As a Receptionist you will be responsible for the following

• Greet visitors to the office and respond to all incoming calls.
• Work in office/on-site 9-5 Monday to Friday.
• Respond to guest feedback and liaise with restaurant management to address issues. Familiarity with Zendesk and Uberall platforms is an asset.
• Maintain all switchboard-related functions such as updating extension / voicemail / cell phone / restaurant phone lists, maintain changes to phone / voicemail systems, switchboard relief schedules and contact lists.
• Route incoming faxes to appropriate recipients.
• Process courier and regular mail services.
• Provide administrative support to various departments.
• Assist all Department Heads and Operations VP’s/Directors with general office duties i.e. faxing, mailings, memo's, stationery, bookings, meetings, minutes, email correspondence, management rosters and restaurant listings.
• Open and respond to all SIR Corp's general email addresses and route to appropriate recipients.
• Maintain boardrooms and meeting rooms.
• Perform TACIT functions.
• Coordinate catering for internal meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
• 2+ years in a receptionist role or have extensive customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Post-secondary education is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience working in a fast paced environment.
• Personable, dynamic, and polite.
• Professional in appearance and demeanor.
