Job summary

Medcan Health Management Inc. in Markham is hiring a Front Desk Associate / Clinic Flow Coordinator to manage patient flow through the Year-Round Care clinic and coordinate with clinic staff for optimal service delivery. Training begins at 150 York Street in downtown Toronto, with occasional later sessions.

The role requires high energy, superb client service, and strong organization. Working hours are Mon-Sat, 8:30am-5pm, with a permanent full-time schedule at 600 Cochrane Drive in Markham.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a similar role.
  • 2 years of healthcare experience is an asset.
  • Education in health or related discipline is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet clients, guide them through visits, check in/out.
  • Process payments for appointments and products.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure productive visits with exceptional service.
  • Maintain lounge and provide coffee and beverages to clients.
  • Respond to client issues and inquiries and manage wait times.
  • Open and close procedures including next-day preparation.

The Opportunity

Medcan is recruiting for a full time Front Desk Associate / Clinic Flow Coordinator at our Markham location! The position requires high energy and enthusiasm, an appreciation for detail, an outstanding level of client service, and exceptional organizational skills. The role is responsible for monitoring and facilitating the flow of patients through our Year-Round Care clinic as well as coordinating with other clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service. Our Markham clinic will be located at 600 Cochrane Drive. The successful candidate will complete an initial two-week training program at our downtown Toronto location (150 York Street) and may be required to attend occasional training sessions there thereafter. This is a full-time permanent position scheduled between Monday - Saturday during clinic hours of 8:30am - 5pm.

What You’ll Do
  • Welcoming and greeting clients, guiding clients throughout their visit, and checking clients in and out of their appointments.
  • Processing payments for appointments and products.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure the client’s visit is productive and effective with exceptional service delivery.
  • Ensure clients receive maximum value time during their visit.
  • Providing exemplary and engaging customer service.
  • Interact with Clients by using discretion, professionalism, and accuracy.
  • Escort patients to and from treatment rooms and waiting areas.
  • Making reminder appointment calls to clients.
  • Providing Coffee and Beverages to Clients in the lounge.
  • Constantly maintaining the lounge and attending to clients.
  • Managing wait times with clients and updating them with accurate information regarding their appointments.
  • Open and close procedures including next-day preparation.
  • Responding to all client issues and inquiries.
  • Foster client/clinic loyalty by creating memorable experiences.
  • Problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all service metrics.
  • Respond to client issues and inquiries.
  • Administrative and Physician support as required
What You’ll Need
  • Availability for weekdays Monday to Friday shifts
  • Availability for Saturday shifts
  • Prior experience in a similar role.
  • Four Star Hotel or luxury spa experience is an asset.
  • 2 years of healthcare experience is an asset.
  • Education in health or a related discipline is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate level skills in MS Office.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to foster relationships with other teams and practitioners.
Position Pay Range

Position Pay Range $47,831.00 - $65,767.25 CAD annually Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within the role's compensation grade. Medcan's compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills, market value, and internal equity. The above range pertains solely to the base compensation and is not inclusive of additional compensation details such as perks, benefits, and potential bonuses or incentives.
