Job description

Downtown Toronto - Full-Time - In-Office

A polished first impression. A trusted presence. A role with real impact.

Our client is seeking an experienced Corporate Receptionist to join a highly professional, client-focused organization in downtown Toronto. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who takes genuine pride in creating a welcoming, polished, and seamless experience for clients, visitors, partners, and employees.

This is much more than answering phones and greeting guests. As the face of the organization, you will play an important role in managing the front-of-house experience and ensuring that every interaction reflects the professionalism and standards of the firm.

We are looking for someone who is mature, confident, composed, personable, and exceptionally polished — someone who understands how to engage with senior professionals and clients with warmth, discretion, and professionalism.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, visitors, and guests entering the organization
  • Create a warm, professional, and welcoming reception experience
  • Manage a busy front desk, including greeting visitors, answering and directing calls, and responding to inquiries
  • Coordinate meeting room bookings and assist with the smooth flow of client and internal meetings
  • Welcome clients and ensure they are appropriately looked after throughout their visit
  • Liaise with internal teams to coordinate visitors, meetings, catering, deliveries, and other requirements
  • Maintain a polished and organized reception and client-facing environment
  • Provide administrative and organizational support to the office as required
  • Assist with special events, client meetings, and other in-office activities
  • Handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
  • Anticipate needs and proactively address issues before they become problems
  • Represent the organization with professionalism, warmth, and confidence at all times
What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced professional who understands that exceptional client service is about the details.

You will ideally bring:

  • Several years of experience in a corporate reception, front-of-house, hospitality, executive support, or client service environment
  • A polished and professional presentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence interacting with senior executives, clients, and external partners
  • Strong judgment and the ability to handle situations with tact and discretion
  • A calm, composed approach in a busy environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of service
  • A genuine interest in people and a natural ability to make others feel welcome
The Right Personality

The successful candidate will be someone who is warm without being overly casual, professional without being rigid, and confident without being overbearing.

You are someone who notices when a client has arrived, remembers a familiar face, knows when to step in and help, and understands that small details can make a significant difference.

You take ownership of your environment, care about how things are presented, and understand the importance of being a dependable and consistent presence in the office.

Why This Opportunity?
  • Established and highly professional corporate environment
  • Downtown Toronto location
  • Full-time, in-office position
  • Full benefits, pension, competitive salary $57,000 – 65,000
  • Significant client and executive interaction
  • Opportunity to become a valued and visible member of the organization
  • Stable environment with a strong emphasis on professionalism and service
