Job description

Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a full-time Reception and HR Assistant to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Edmonton, Alberta facility. We are open to this role being a full time role (40 hours/week) or a part time role (30 hours per week). Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America’s largest retailers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Take phone calls and route calls to correct employees.
  • Assist individuals coming into the plant and direct them to the appropriate department.
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing mail, directing mail to appropriate departments.
  • Create content for employee engagement events using Canva.
  • Handle all filing for HR, including electronic filing, scanning and tagging documents.
  • Pull vendor invoices for the weekly payment batches.
  • Email vendor remittances when requested.
  • Prepare FedEx packages.
  • Place orders for all office stationery and all other items as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested by Manager.
  • Data entry into the HRIS system.
  • Assist the HR Team in other areas as needed, including payroll tasks and hourly time review.
