Bass Pro Shops in Ottawa is seeking a Receiving Outfitter to manage backend operations including receiving, inventory control, replenishment, stocking, and housekeeping tasks. The role supports store readiness by moving merchandise from back room to floor and maintaining accurate counts and pricing.
The position requires attention to detail, strong customer service, and physical ability to stand and lift; steel-toe boots are required. PAL license eligibility may apply.
Reporting to the Retail Manager - Operations - Canada, a Receiving Outfitter is responsible for backend operations including receiving, warehouse, inventory control, replenishment, stocking and maintenance/housekeeping departments
Systematically receive P.O.’s that come into the building Physical count of all packages coming into the building and verify count with packing slip Conduct stocking activities from back room to sales floor Perform tasks including folding, repackaging, sorting, facing and re-hanging of newly arriving Cabela’s Canada product Conduct general replenishment of all departments including facing, hanging merchandise Conduct floor checks including cleaning, updates to pricing and signage, inventory, verification of min/max settings, ensuring that shelves are full and that security tags are in place Assist with merchandise purges when necessary
High school diploma or equivalent Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work Customer service oriented team player Ability to effectively communicate with customers and other business contacts in a courteous, positive and professional manner Physically able to stand for extended periods, and to move and handle boxes of merchandise Steel toes work boots are required Must be able to obtain a PAL license Starting Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.75
