Job summary

Simons in Quebec City invites applications for a Receiving and Shipping Associate within the Transportation team. This full-time position offers a 4-day schedule, including Saturdays, and provides professional service to truck drivers loading and unloading merchandise on campus.

You will handle inbound documentation, data entry, shipment manifests, and carrier coordination while maintaining accurate records and contributing to performance metrics. Fluency in English and French is required.

  • Respond to access requests from the gatehouse and truck drivers.
  • Assign trucks to doors according to the coordinator’s schedule and communicate with Supervisors.
  • Sign inbound BOLs, scan and archive them.
  • Enter data into platforms and maintain performance indicators.
  • Create shipping manifests and BOLs for shipments to stores or other destinations.
  • Follow up shipments with carriers, stores and suppliers.
  • Ensure traceability of web bins received from stores.
  • Receive packages and deliver to recipients.
  • Assist with other Transportation Department tasks.

Full Time 4-day work schedule, including Saturday. The position Working as part of the Transportation team, the Receiving and Shipping Associate provides a welcoming and professional service to the various truck drivers who come to the Campus to deliver or pick up merchandise.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to access requests from the gatehouse and truck drivers.
  • Assign trucks to the appropriate doors according to the coordinator’s schedule and communicate with the Receiving or Shipping Supervisors.
  • Sign inbound BOLs, scan them and ensure they are properly archived.
  • Enter data into various platforms and keep information up to date in order to develop performance indicators.
  • Create shipping manifests and BOLs for shipments to stores or other destinations.
  • Follow up shipments with carriers, stores and suppliers to support the Transportation Coordinator.
  • Ensure the traceability of web bins received from stores.
  • Receive various packages and ensure they are delivered to the appropriate recipients.
  • Assist with other Transportation Department tasks as needed.
