Job summary

Farm Boy in Toronto, ON is seeking a store associate to help keep our shelves stocked and operations smooth. You’ll support product flow, assist customers, and ensure safe, accurate deliveries to departments and coolers while upholding our service standards.

Ideal candidates are able to lift up to 80 lbs, work a dynamic schedule including evenings and weekends, and communicate effectively in English; French is a plus. This role offers training and growth opportunities within Farm Boy.

Qualifications

• Up to 6 months of previous experience in a similar role, preferably with perishable goods.
• Able to become certified to operate power material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and stackers.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality results, attention to detail, and cleanliness.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Physically active role with lifting up to 80 lbs and varied movements.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays; English fluency, French a plus.

• Receive, unload, and distribute products to departments and coolers safely and efficiently.
• Verify delivery quantities, inspect product quality, and report discrepancies to leadership.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and storage areas with housekeeping duties.
• Handle merchandise returns as required.
• Follow corporate policies focusing on Health & Safety and Food Safety.

• Verify delivery quantities, inspect product quality, and report any discrepancies to the leadership team.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and storage areas through general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and general equipment maintenance.
• Handle merchandise returns, including skids and bins, as required.
• Follow all corporate policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and proper equipment use.
• Support store operations by assuming other related duties on a periodic basis.

• Works confidently across varied environments, including receiving areas, coolers, and freezers, with exposure to colder, damp, and high-activity conditions and required protective equipment.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
