Millcroft Inn & Spa is seeking a Receiver to join our team. The Receiver will ensure incoming goods match purchase orders in quantity and quality, and physically move items to the correct locations for distribution across departments on property.

Ideal candidates have Grade 12 or equivalent and 3–5 years of warehouse experience, with health and safety training. The role involves heavy lifting, adaptability, and precise paperwork using a computerized system.

Position Summary

To ensure that goods that are received match the purchase order both in quantity and quality. Physically move the goods to the correct locations for distribution to various departments on property.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Works closely with Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Kitchen and other operations departments to receive, inspect put away and rotate products and complete paperwork daily using computerized system
• Inspects the quality of the shipment. If it is not to specifications arranges to have the shipment inspected by the Manager or Supervisor
• Maintains a back-order file and follows up on supplies not yet received
• Prints purchase orders for daily arrivals
• Maintains and cleans storage areas
• Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties' products and services
• All other duties as assigned

Professional Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years' experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred
• Health and safety training required

Physical Requirements

• Heavy lifting of over 90 lbs. on a regular basis

• Constant temperature changes due to variation from indoor to outdoor temperatures
