Job summary

PLASP Child Care Services seeks a Program Director for the Before & After School program (Area 13) at Owenwood PS. You will oversee operations, safety, and staff supervision to deliver high‑quality care for school‑age children.

The role requires an RECE/ECE credential, strong leadership, budgeting, and compliance with CCEYA and MEDU standards. Competitive pay and ongoing professional development offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in child care and community service; staff supervision preferred.
• Registration with College of ECE (RECE) required.
• ECE degree/diploma and RECE registration preferred.
• Plan, implement, and oversee safe, high‑quality before/after school program.
• Budget and ordering food per Canada Food Guide.

Responsibilities

• Establish a safe, warm before/after school environment.
• Plan age-appropriate activities promoting well-being.
• Budget and order food according to Canada Food Guide.
• Supervise and train staff, volunteers, and students.
• Handle program administration: registrations, records, health & safety.
• Maintain MEDU standards and CCEYA license.
• Participate in P.A. Days providing care on/off site.
