Job summary

GMS Canada is seeking a Rebuyer to ensure optimal inventory availability and support efficient purchasing across the organization. You will work with vendors, branch teams, and purchasing to maintain inventory, improve fill rates, and meet customer needs.

The role reports to the GMS Canada team and requires experience in inventory/purchasing, strong communication, and a proactive approach to process improvements.

• Broad knowledge of building materials.
• Previous experience in a similar role is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain in-stock inventory levels and optimal availability.
• Process and review purchase orders and auto-generated orders.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to support inventory and procurement objectives.
• Monitor vendor performance and address issues such as on-time delivery and fill rates.
• Ensure accurate inventory accounting and conduct on-hand adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and integrity initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory management and purchasing efficiency.
• Provide prompt internal customer service for inventory and purchasing inquiries.

Job description

Position Summary

The Rebuyer will be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory availability and supporting efficient purchasing operations across the organization. The Rebuyer works closely with vendors, branch teams and purchasing to maintain accurate inventory, improve fill rates, and ensure products are available to meet customer and operational demands.

The salary range for this role is $50,000 to 60,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure inventory levels remain in an in-stock position at all times.
• Process purchase orders and review or amend auto-generated purchase orders as required.
• Communicate and resolve SKU maintenance and product data issues.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal purchasing teams to support inventory and procurement objectives.
• Monitor vendor performance, including on-time delivery and fill rates, and take appropriate action to address concerns.
• Ensure inventory is accurately accounted for and properly controlled.
• Complete inventory on-hand adjustments and investigate discrepancies as required.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory integrity initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes and purchasing efficiency.
• Provide exceptional internal customer service by responding promptly to inventory and purchasing inquiries.

Skills and Qualifications

• A broad knowledge of building materials is necessary.
• Knowledge of Business Central computer ordering processes is required.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a must.
• Strong communication skills.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, flexible and eager to learn new things.

Compensation

The (range of) compensation for this position is $48,400.00 to $57,100.00
