Job summary

Taggart Realty Management is seeking a Director of Finance, Real Estate to lead the finance function for its real estate portfolio in Ottawa. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and governance across multiple entities, partnering with the CFO and other senior leaders.

The role requires a Canadian CPA designation, extensive experience in real estate accounting, and a proven ability to lead change and drive process improvements within a multi‑company

Qualifications

• CPA designation required with senior finance leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian ASPE and complex real estate accounting.
• Experience driving finance transformation and cross‑functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to finance teams supporting real estate assets.
• Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting across multi‑entity portfolio.
• Coordinate year‑end audits, disclosures and judgments with auditors.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning and capital management.
• Coordinate lender reporting and covenant compliance for real estate portfolio.
• Partner with senior leaders to align finance priorities with business goals.
