Job summary

Aritzia is seeking a Senior Designer / Designer, Low Voltage Systems in Vancouver to design and integrate low-voltage infrastructure across retail spaces, supporting scalable operations and enhancing the client and employee experience.

You will partner with internal teams, consultants, and vendors to establish standards and guide technical decisions, coordinating delivery from planning through completion across the real estate portfolio.

Qualifications

• Proven skills in low-voltage systems design and integration.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate technical drawings and system requirements.
• Familiarity with visualisation/diagram tools such as Visio.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing, and our Real Estate team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the Systems Design team responsible for ensuring the technology infrastructure within our spaces is scalable, integrated, and built to support both operational excellence and long-term growth. As the Senior Designer / Designer, Low Voltage Systems, you will play a critical role in designing and integrating the low-voltage systems that power our retail spaces, support our operations, and enhance the client and employee experience. Working closely with internal partners, consultants, contractors, and technology vendors, you will help establish standards, guide technical decisions, and ensure reliable implementation across our real estate portfolio. THE ROLE

As the Senior Designer / Designer, Low Voltage Systems, you will:

• Lead the design and development of low-voltage systems, including lighting controls, audio/video, digital signage, traffic counters, fire and life safety, loss prevention, CCTV, access control, and security systems.
• Develop and maintain standards, specifications, technical guidelines, and design documentation that enable consistent implementation across Aritzia's real estate portfolio.
• Ensure low-voltage infrastructure is coordinated and integrated with architectural, mechanical, electrical, operational, and technology requirements.
• Define performance requirements, evaluate technology solutions, and support testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems operate reliably and meet business needs.
• Partner with external consultants and design professionals to ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, and aligned with project objectives, timelines, and standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with technology vendors and manufacturers to support system performance, scalability, service requirements, and future portfolio growth.
• Collaborate with Construction, Architecture, and other cross-functional partners to ensure successful project delivery from planning through completion.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven skills, education, certifications, and/or experience in low-voltage systems design, systems integration, and technical coordination.
• Strong knowledge of building technology systems, including security, access control, CCTV, life safety, audio/visual, lighting controls, and digital infrastructure.
• Experience developing technical standards, specifications, and design documentation.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, vendors, contractors, and cross-functional business partners.
• The ability to interpret and evaluate technical documentation, drawings, and system requirements.
• Working knowledge of technical documentation and visualization tools such as Visio.
• Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills.

THE COMPENSATION

At Aritzia, we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy. The range for roles at this level is $100,000-$300,000 per year. Total compensation may include base, bonus and/or equity depending on the role, which has the potential to be greater than this range.
